Please contact us by email or by telephone if you are interested in buying any item that we have shown for sale on the website, so that we can confirm the item is still in stock and advise you of any postage or shipping charge to send it to you. We do our best to keep the website up to date but, as we also sell through other channels, such as antique fairs, it is possible that an item may no longer be available.
For each item we are offering for sale we have provided a description, several images, a condition report and our asking price. To the best of our knowledge all the items are as described and are not fakes, copies or reproductions.
We are pleased to offer free delivery for any item or items to be sent to an address in the UK. Unfortunately, because of the high cost of international postage we are unable to make the same offer for items to be sent to overseas addresses.
All payments must be made in pounds sterling and can be made via the website or, personally, by cash, cheque, credit/debit card or bank transfer. Please contact us for bank details if you wish to pay by bank transfer.
We will send your purchases to you as soon as we have received cleared funds from you. We normally use Royal Mail Special Delivery service for items being sent to a UK address and Royal Mail International Tracked service for items being sent overseas. We cannot guarantee delivery times, particularly for overseas shipments which may be subject to delays going through Customs. Payment of Customs clearance charges or any other charges on receipt are the responsibility of the buyer.
Title to all items remains with David Scriven Antiques until full payment has cleared.
We will accept the return of any item bought from us if you are not satisfied with it and we will refund you the full amount paid when purchasing it, including any charge for posting the item to you, as long as it is returned in the same condition in which it was sent to you and within 14 days of your receipt of the item. However, any cost incurred returning the item to us must be borne by yourself.
Any damage to or loss of an item in transit must be reported to us as soon as possible so that we can make a claim for compensation from Royal Mail or whichever other courier we have used. Once that claim has been processed and we have received the appropriate compensation we will refund you the full amount you paid when purchasing the item from us.
